Google+ combines the basic ideas of social interaction between groups of friends with the use of a constantly updating status updates, much like Twitter. It also uses a similar photo system as Facebook. It refines the ideas of social interaction with ideas like circles, which allow you to directly communicate to a specific set of contacts.
